The Big Picture

Improving the Childcare Experience with the Power of Streaming Video

Big Successes in Texas: Kids R Kids of West Allen & Frisco

Kids R Kids Learning Academy owner, Malak Agha, was a beloved kindergarten and first grade teacher in Texas when she began searching for a better way to balance her work with family. Opening Kids R Kids in West Allen, Texas, almost five years ago was just the solution she needed.

Malak’s three children, now 5, 8, and 11 years old, come to Kids R Kids each day. She provides WatchMeGrow Streaming Video Services to the families in her center so that they can have the same luxury that she does: better work-life balance.

“Teaching was so fulfilling, but I was missing out on those moments with my own children,” Malak says of her previous career. Like all parents, that fear of missing out on special moments is something Malak knows well. She shares this story with families that come to her center. While building our center, the Kids R Kids corporate office recommended they offer WatchMeGrow.

“As a mom, I was sold immediately on the idea when I watched the streaming video. Providing online streaming video is now an expectation from parents of children in childcare.”

Malak says that families in her center love WatchMeGrow, especially the optional “Review the Day” feature. This feature allows parents to go back during the same day and watch a child’s first steps, circle time fun, a class party, or other special occasion they missed. Grandparents from all over the world log in and see their grandchildren. Malak and her team of teachers love that the center plays a part in keeping these families close and connected.

When prospective parents call her center, Malak says streaming video service is among the top three features she points out. It’s a headliner. For these parents, the biometric (fingerprint scan) entry system, glass interior walls in classrooms and WatchMeGrow streaming video from anywhere are the features that make families take notice and enroll their children.

Now, as she prepares to open her second Kids R Kids location in Frisco, Texas, she is even more convinced that providing a way for parents to connect with their children while they are in her care makes her business successful.
